Michael Moore would be a real sicko if he goes to Iran
Monday, July 2nd, 2007I can’t wait to see Michael Moore’s latest work, “Sicko,” an indictment of the American health care system. I have found Michael’s work and antics to be inspiring, thought provoking, and ever provocative.
Yet, Moore would be wrong to attend a screening of his film in Iran. To create such a propaganda opportunity for Ahmadinejad’s government, at such a time that Ahmadinejad is praising Iranian filmmakers for boycotting the Danish Film Festival, is simply a bad idea.
“The boycott of the Denmark film festival by four Iranian filmmakers including Ahmad Miralaei and Mohammad Shirvani in protest at the blasphemous act by the Danish newspaper was given wide coverage in the Western media,” says the Iranian President’s blog.
Michael Moore should not place himself on the Iranian chessboard as a pawn of Ahmadinejad.
