Libby Commutation defines the Bush II Legacy
There is nothing more that I can add to the outrage being expressed by 70% of the American people at the commutation of Libby’s sentence.
Did you really expect otherwise? Did you truly believe that this ”president” and “vice president,” would allow one of their own to sit in prison for crimes committed?
This is par for the course for the worst American president, ever. This is yet another “Katrina moment” for Bush. This is more evidence of his disdain for rule of law and the American courts, and Congress, and the American people.
I know you guys think I’m “out there” when I say this because you can’t conceive that it could happen in America, but I’ll say it again: Bush has proven once again that dictatorship in America IS POSSIBLE, and that powers will be assumed by slow and deliberate means hastened by a terrorist threat. Don’t think that it can’t happen here — it is happening, and all the groundwork has been laid by this administration. 566 Days left in the Bush Presidency, that is, unless he decides to declare martial law and stay indefinitely.
Certainly, this commutation will define his legacy as one of contempt for America.
